Holy Cross Boosters' Club
The Holy Cross Boosters' Club was founded in 1971 to help fund an after-school
sports program at Holy Cross School. Today, Holy Cross is proud to offer
extracurricular sports programs in football, basketball, volleyball and
cheerleading. Our teams participate in competitive league play. Children
4th grade through 8th grade participate in these programs.
The Holy Cross Boosters Club raises thousands of dollars annually to
invest in the lives of every Holy Cross student. Nearly half of the Boosters'
annual expenditures are for the benefit of school operations generally
and the physical education program specifically. For example, all the
equipment used in the P.E. program is provided by the Boosters -- badminton
racquets, nets; floor hockey equipment; softballs, bats and balls; basketballs,
etc.
A sum of money is given each year for general maintenance and upkeep
of the gym and other Parish Center facilities. The balance of expenditures
represents funding of the extracurricular sports programs. These include
football, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading.
A series of fund raising events are held throughout the year. The primary
fund raisers are the QSP Magazine Drive in the fall, the Holy Cross Christmas
Party/Raffle (The 200 Club), the Harley Davidson Raffle, Super Bowl Party
and NCAA.
