Gathering

The Gathering is part of the Adult Education program at Holy Cross parish and plans and presents three opportunities of spiritual enrichment/educational opportunities per year for adults of the parish to grow in their faith and strengthen the bonds of community. Speakers and presenters offer insights and ideas on a wide variety of spiritual and personal development topics that would be of interest to adults in today’s world. These events are open to all adults in the parish and also friends and neighbors, and offer people a chance to explore.
Gatherings usually occur three times per year, 2 morning opportunities and one evening opportunity. Morning Gatherings begin with gourmet breakfasts, while evening programs have appetizers/soup.

Interested in Volunteering?

We are looking for people who have an interest in spirituality, an ability to select topics for future sessions, and a willingness to work on one of the sub-committees (planning, publicity, table decorations, food, and hospitality). Advantages of being on the Gathering Committee are getting to know other people in the parish, strengthening and deepening of one’s own spirituality and relationship with God, and FUN. To become a member of the planning team, please call Mary Ann Spina, Pastoral Associate, at the Pastoral Center, 847-945-0430.
