Drink Tap Water instead of drinks you have to buy...
SAND Youth Ministry strongly supports this organization and what they stand for. All are encouraged to get involved and to donate directly to them and their cause.
All are encouraged to be a part of this experience.
Of course you are always welcome to partake in the waterfast even when it is not officially happening. After all... this fast isn't simply about helping build sustainable access to clean water and clean blood for our brothers and sisters in Africa... It is also about making radical changes in ourselves, in the ways we live, in the ways we use and conserve our resources, and in the way that we look at our world and those in it.
Hopefully, we will be able to come to see the world through the eyes of our loving God.
So give up your Starbucks, and your fountain beverages, your bottled water... start drinking the water that is clean out of our taps and faucets. Gather the money you would have spent on yourself in those purchases and turn it into the SAND Youth Ministry Office so that we can donate it to our brothers and sisters in need of that which we so often take for granted... clean water.

Tuesday, June 29th to Sunday, July 4th, 2010 • Bushnell, IL • $215 per person
We'll
be camping with other Catholic Youth Groups from
around Chicagoland. The campsites will be well
covered by trees, however, that won't make us
"rain-proof." All teens going will be required to
bring
tents for themselves and friends
(there
won't be co-ed tents).
Pack light and comfortable. It will likely be a hot
week.
Adult Chaperones are needed to make this trip
possible!
If you are an adult who likes live music, enjoys
the great-outdoors, and has fun working with
teens... this is the trip for you!
This will be a trip that you will not soon
forget... if you are interested in attending...
please contact Mike in the YM Office.
We will purchase tickets for next year's trip after
receiving the fees from all teens going.
The cost of the festival week is: $215 per
teen.
Adult Chaperones go for
free!
PARENTS:
We need you to prayerfully consider joining us for
the trip.
This past summer we took 24 teens and there
were 4 adults. We are anticipating near that number
of teens for next summer's trip to Cornerstone and
will need adult chaperones for the week! It is a
lot of fun for all who come. I have the phone
numbers of other adults who have attended if you
need some encouragement!
